A new look…

I have been helping a great missions organization called ‘Global Focus’ do some rebranding for the North American efforts. I recently designed an entirely new 20′ x 10′ double-sided popup display, retrac banners, a 4′x12′ hanging banner, website, and a couple print pieces!

City of Refuge

Ministers in crisis often find they have no place to turn when they are hurting and discouraged, fallen, or even wounded by the very people they seek to serve. They need a safe place – a place to be healed and  restored – a place of refuge.

Several years ago (my) Pastor,  Johnny Hunt, was burdened by a strong desire to help, encourage, and restore wounded and fallen men of God and their families. The City of Refuge is a long-term residential program that attempts to meet the needs of the minister and his family by providing housing, childcare, counseling and small group support at no cost to the family.

I recently partnered with COR to create an identity & promotional booklet to aid them in their fundraising efforts.  It was an honor to come alongside this essential ministry and help craft the ‘look’ of what they do. You can learn more about City of Refuge here:

Defending the American Dream…

This past week, I had the great opportunity to do some design work for ‘Americans For Prosperity‘-a conservative action group based out of D.C. They are hosting an upcoming event in Atlanta called “Defending The American Dream” with Neal Boortz & Herman Cain. I created the entire look & overall concept for this event, so it was cool to be part of it.

Lead Me to the Cross

It’s hard to believe that I’m already working on stuff for Easter. Man, 2010 is already off to fast start! I recently created a print piece for Pennyroyal Baptist Church in Franklin, Ohio.

I’ve had the privilege to work with this church the last couple years to develop & maintain their website and all of their print materials.

REAL…

One of the ministries that I work with from time to time is Daryel O’Barr & Drawing The Net Ministries (www.drawingthenet.org). This ministry seeks to teach men how to be a husband and/or father that honors God & leaves a legacy for generations to come. Daryel’s new conference subject for 2010 is “REAL: Living a Life of Transparency.” I had the privilege to develop the identity for this conference. I look forward to hearing about the lives of men that are changed through the work of this great ministry.

Better Together…

One of the cool things I get to do @o2designworks is help churches in their creative process by coming up with visuals to go along with their current teaching series.

Horizon Church in Surprise, Arizona (www.yourhorizon.org) is a church that I have been working with for over a year now. Beginning in Febr

uary, they are going to merge their two worship services into one and also do their missions emphasis month. So the theme for the month is “Better Together.”

I enlisted the help of my Facebook friends to help me come up with things that are ‘better together!’ After receiving over 35 suggestions (most of which were food), I finally narrowed it down to the ones I thought worked the best, which were: Milk & Cookies, Peanut Butter & Jelly, and Hammer & Nail.

John & Kate…

…well, most of them were good!

o2 designworks continues to go global!

So today I am working on prayer cards for missionaries in the Dominican Republic. It’s such a blessing to be able to help these great folks as they raise financial support so they can continue to share the Gospel in this beautiful country. I was able to go on a mission project a couple years ago to the D.R., and man, it is a place WIDE OPEN to the Gospel.

TEA PARTY: The Documentary Film

I’ve had the privilege to work the last 2 months to create the entire ‘image’ for TEA PARTY: The Documentary Film.  This film tells the story of the Tea Party movement this past year & highlights the stories of 5 ordinary people who have become key players in this movement.

There is all kinds of stuff going on surrounding this project…an email blast about to go to out to 1 million+ people, a red-carpet movie premiere in DC, webcasts, etc.

f you haven’t checked out their site yet, go to www.teapartymovie.com to learn more about it.

Here is the final artwork for the dvd cover & disc!

First Post….

So, this is my first attempt in the blogging world. I really want this blog to be an insider’s view into what I do with o2 designworks… and give you the opportunity to see different projects I am privileged to work on.

I’m going to kick things off with a retrac banner I just completed for All Grace Abound Ministries.

You can check out the site that I created & maintain for All Grace Abound (www.allgraceabound.org)
